If you wish to create a bright, happy eating space, maybe all you need is a checkerboard table with whimsical lights dancing above it. This sure makes me feel happy!
Holly desired to brighten up her breakfast nook, so she removed the fall inspired burlap window treatments and got to work.
The table got painted in a super fun checkerboard distressed finish, and the walls got a fresh coat of white. And.... the windows wear only the simplest of blinds for a treatment. I love it!
But that's not all.
The traditional styled lighting got tricked out with some twiggy touches. A larger wreath for the base and small .49 wreaths were layered around each light. And the totally unexpected... even a fern got it with some whimsey!
Why I LOVE this:
The brightness of this space first drew me in... and then all the added original touches started to sink in. The special paint treatments and lighting touches really transform this space from ho hum eating to a place of coolness!
