Jeanette snagged the opportunity to collect driftwood when at a nearby creek. Stuffing her purse with her newfound treasures, once home she got to work on her sailboat mission.
The steps are very simple. A mast was created by drilling a hole into the hull for a like minded piece of driftwood.
Different styled sails were attached using glue, old canvas and even some stitching for added detail from an ironing board cover. How creative is that?! Think unique on this one, any fabrics or even grain sacks could be used too!
The result is a charming collection of a sweet memory from the beach!
What I LOVE about this:
A beach inspired project couldn't be more perfect created from beach materials. And no two sailboats would ever be identical. What a wonderful, summertime idea for kids to make too!
