Just when you thought there wasn't another use for a good 'ol canning jar lid, Crystal creates canning jar lid tea light Christmas ornaments!
Crystal started by grunging up some battery operated tea lights. She coated them with wax, mixed with special ingredients to get that lovely shade of deep red. So clever, they really do look like real candles!
Next, one piece old zinc canning jar lids were wired up with some rusty wire. Then a bit of faux greenery added inside in a ring style, with the tea light in the centre! Safe, vintage and a little junky too!
Crystal did use the one piece canning jar lids for her hanging ornaments, but you could easily glue together old gem zinc screw bands with a snap lid glued inside for the same effect.
